WRITING:
‣Year 7: Autobiographical Writing:
-Synchronisation of our assessment of the students’ initial pieces, underscoring a baseline
READING:
‣Year 8: Close Reading of Poetic Texts:
-Assessed in the context of a close reading test developed and administered by the teaching team
TERM 3:
WRITING:
‣Year 9: Comparative Analysis Essay:
-Topic to be determined by individual teachers and classes and to arise from their topics of learning
SPEAKING AND LISTENING:
‣All Key Stage Three: Speaking Competition, Debate and Festival:
-Public event where students oratory will be performed in front of their peers and families. Our assessment will underscore the gravity of the event.
